October 2023 Update: UI improvements, Death animations, Bug fixes


Hello,

During the last month we have improved the UI, added death animations and fixed many bugs.

Gameplay

New bottom bar

Bottom bar now shows both tower stash and item stash at the same time


Researching elements can now be done using the element buttons above the bottom menu bar. These buttons will also show the current research level when you hover over them.


You can now filter the item stash by rarity and item type. For example, you can make the item stash show only oil items of uncommon rarity.

New Horadric Cube

The menu for horadric cube has been reworked. It now opens next to the tower menu and includes more graphics and info.


Horadric cube now also has recipe buttons. They can be used to automatically load items for a recipe from your item stash.


Death animations

Creeps now have proper death animations instead of just disappearing after death.

Bug fixes

Towers

  • Fixed bug where ability of Village Witch was triggering too often
  • Ability of Energy Junction tower can now be manually targeted
  • Fixed duration of buff applied by Lesser Skeletal Mage - it was lasting too long
  • Fixed ability of Furbolg tower giving incorrect multicrit bonus

Items

  • Fixed bug where Strange Item would not split if inventory of carrier was full
  • Fixed bug where Scroll of Speed and Scroll of Strength items could go over 10 charges
  • Fixed incorrect effect of Floating Mark item
  • Fixed Orb of Souls item not transferring correctly when upgrading tower
  • Removed bounty bonus from Orb of Souls - it's not supposed to have this effect
  • Fixed M.E.F.I.S. Rocket item not firing projectiles at immune creeps
  • Fixed bug where Seeker's Oil would apply AOE effect again when it's carrier was upgraded or transformed

Major bugs:

  • Fixed bug where bounce attack was visiting same creep twice
  • Fixed bug where aura's stacked incorrectly when there are multiple towers from same family but with different tiers
  • Fixed bug where tower auras would not update their effects when tower level decreases
  • Fixed game crash which happened when player doesn't pick any elements
  • Fixed bug where it was not possible to build towers at some valid positions
  • Air creeps with Flock special will now deal half damage to portal so that the total damage from the wave is the same as for air creep wave without Flock special
  • Fixed inventory capacity being incorrect for some towers
  • Selling towers will now correctly refund the cost of only the current tier - not the previous upgrade tiers
  • Fixed bug where stun visual effect sometimes stayed forever
  • Fixed bug where armor value could go negative
  • Upgrading towers will now correctly refund the cost of previous tier

Minor bugs:

  • Distances between towers and creeps are now correctly calculated using ground positions
  • Fixed tower's range indicator not matching the actual area of attack
  • Fixed path of ground creeps so that it's perfectly centered
  • Fixed Tower Details section in Tower Info sometimes displaying numbers with too much precision
  • Fixed floating text for multicrits showing incorrect damage amount
  • Fixed bug where rerolling towers did not reduce the amount of towers granted
  • Horadric Cube will now always generate result items which are not equal to any of the recipe ingredients

Improvements:

  • Improved readability of some purple text
  • Added floating text for spell crits
